Caxixi, pronounced "ke-she-she", is an ancient African percussion instrument consisting of a woven top and a flat bottom. The body of the instrument is filled with dried seeds or pebbles, and is either shaken or struck to obtain the desired sound.  Made from natural elephant grass, with calabash gourd bottom for percussion. Sized approximately 20cm x 8cm, with a top loop for hanging. WARNING: Not suitable for babies, contains small pebbles and seeds.
